This June, I’m taking part in Sweat with Pride, a challenge to move for 42 minutes every day to support Aotearoa’s Rainbow communities. It’s more than a fitness goal. It’s a stand against discrimination and a way to raise awareness about the health challenges LGBTQIA+ Kiwis face, from mental health struggles to higher rates of STIs.
Our schools, clinics, and workplaces should be safe for everyone but right now, they’re not. That’s why I’m choosing to sweat in solidarity, to support services that make a real difference.
It’s about showing up, speaking out, and moving with purpose. Let’s keep pushing for a future where every Kiwi can thrive, no matter who they are or who they love.
